Tell us about your current occupation and how you landed such a fabulous job.
I'm a freelance journalist, copy and content writer, and editor. I also coach and consult with other freelancers, content strategy clients, and publicists hoping to see more success working with journalists (and improving pitches).
2. What's your best advice for PR professionals?
Include these relevant must-haves in your original pitch: WHAT the client's company does, a link to the client's bio, a brief and relevant pitch that shows research on your part regarding what the journalist covers, and links to newspegs or timely studies that can be used in the journalist's pitch to editors. You'd be surprised how few pitches meet these marks.

I have four sons and a daughter on the way!
4. What's your favorite meal, movie, or vacation spot?
Our family does lots of camping—so our favorite spots are wherever the camper is each weekend!
